Spring Interrupted

Listening When He Speaks

God reminds us that He is in control. Even of the weather.

Spring sprang briefly. Then He pulled up a frigid blanket of white for another winter nap. Green tulip shoots snuggled under the snowy quilt. They are used to surprise winter reminders amid their eagerness for Spring. Lowland huckleberries faced the same fate. Their little pinkish buds, so tender at the ends of woody branches, indeed will bloom when He paints summer sunshine from His palette.

In His time. All in His time.

For since the creation of the world

God’s invisible qualities—

his eternal power and divine nature—

have been clearly seen,

being understood from what has been made,

so that men are without excuse.

~ Romans 1:20 (NIV)
