Perched There

Still.
Green.
Purple.

What is that bird,
so small in feathered stature
yet so magnanimous in simple beauty doing
perched there, in solitude, on the pasture fence?

Thinking?
Waiting?
Resting?
Gazing?

Oh, I see.
He is merely
kissing the sunshine
God spread out before him.

Please take time to see, not just with your eyes, but with your heart as well, all the simple feats of beauty God places in your precious day.
