Weeping His Tears

Listening When He Speaks, Photo Story, Poetry

You number my wanderings;
Put my tears into Your bottle;
Are they not in Your book?

~ Psalm 56:8 (NKJV)

Tonight, my soul, be still and sleep;
God’s heaven will comfort those who weep–
God’s heaven, not yours; be still and sleep.

~ from “Do Not Be Afraid” by Charles Spurgeon
(Streams in the Desert; L.B. Cowman edited by Jim Reimann; 6/1 reading)

Friends
struggle
and no-doubt
weep.

Physical
pain
assaults.

Emotional
pain
erodes.

Perhaps their
tears
touch
my prayers,

as God
collects
them
all.

  1. Oh, sweet friend. this is so beautiful. I think my tears could bathe the world these past days. But, yes, peace is in Him. We are stilling, and it helps. But still, decisions need making and there are two boys who will be affected. It is a hard row to hoe. that's for sure. Thank you for your love, your prayers, and the encouragement I get when I come here. You bless me tremendously.Love to you.Running ragged–filthy ragged.L
