pause

.

Last year, ‘round about this time, I had Internet access:

one (1) day per week

for thirty (30) minutes each time

.

And this supposed depravity lasted for five (5) whole months. Can you believe it?! What an atrocity.

.

Whatever.

.

Guess what? I survived. Dare I say, I even thrived.

I’m pushing the pause button I can focus on:

.

* God.

(He deserves it; ‘nuf said.)

.

* Family.

(Because, did you hear? Our country is coming apart at the seams and the traditional family structures, values, and morals are coming out the other side of the secuclar threshing machine a tattered  mess. I wanna make sure mine doesn’t frazzle, fray, or get swayed. The biggest threat to our country’s stability right now is the erosion of God’s biblical standard for family.)

.

* Emergency Preparedness.

(I don’t wanna be caught with my knickers ’round my knees – like so many who have been UNprepared in the midst of natural disasters)

.

* Outreach.

(My family has got more than enough love, food, time, encouragement, and Christ to share with the least of these among us)

.

* Write.

(If I get myself sorted out enough to focus on what really matters, and if I have any spare time, I shall put pen to paper. If not, I’ll trust that God knows my  heart, even if I don’t getta tell you about it.)

.

This here life is not a memememememe thing. (Surprise!)

.

So, I’ve much to do. I’ll be here and there less. If you miss me, good. 😉 And if ya don’t, too bad, so sad.

.

(What better way to sort out your blood-n-guts friends from the fluffy number-counting, stat-seeking ones?)

.

“And if it seems evil to you to serve the LORD,

choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve,

whether the gods which your fathers served

that were on the other side of the River,

or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell.

But as for me and my house,

we will serve the LORD.””

~ Joshua 24:15 (NKJV)

..

.

..

Grace and peace be multiplied to you

in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord,

as His divine power has given to us all things

that pertain to life and godliness,

through the knowledge of Him who called us

by glory and virtue,

by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises,

that through these you may be

partakers of the divine nature,

having escaped

the corruption

that is in the world

through lust.”

~ 2 Peter 1:2-4 (NKJV)

Feel free to use these at your whim-n-fancy.

If you steal ’em, that’s your deal.

If you credit ’em back here,

thank you

kindly.

  1. I so understand and I so applaud you. I am gonna miss the heck out of your voice. You will be missed and if you pop back in, you will be read. Blessings on your time focused on such important priorities.

    I’ll be praying for you (and me too) Darlene. I am already reaping the benefits of spending less time on-line. I’m ashamed it’s taken me so long to get my self in order. Let’s just cheer each other on and visit whenever we can. Love to you dear heart.

    Darlene………I’ve been pausing a while myself–taking an unofficial ‘break’ unless God says otherwise…until Christmas. Just need some time to focus on the things and people right in front of me.

    Hope to shake your hand in person some day, friend. I like the way you think.

If you have somethin' to say, I reckon this is where you should do it. (If you're a newbie hereabouts, your first comment will be held for approval - cuts down on spam.) Thank ye for chatting!
