Do we focus on outward differences

or inward similarities?

Because God made us unique, special & different from one another,

each of our walks will vary.

as will our individual piles o’ crap

Yet, as children of God,

we stand on the very same solid ground.

Let us therefore focus on that which unites us:

the singular, saving grace of Christ.

Therefore if there is any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and mercy, fulfill my joy by being like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others. Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. (Philippians 2:1-8 NKJV)

  1. Amen! I have been missing you Darlene. We have been spending more days in doctors’ offices than I can keep track of. I haven’t got a single writerly thought in my head. I. cannot. write. any. more. on. my. book! Just plain stuck. I think I need a good kick in the pants 🙂

  2. Been thinking along these lines lately. I think you’re on to something here. We’re united in Christ–and through us He reveals our You-nique design. Keep it up you’re doing a good work, His good work.

    • Miss H,
Me too! I mean, really, sometimes the images just beg for certain words… and sometimes I can even recognize when it happens and share it here.

As always, thanks for stopping by.
