Yes ma’am, yes sir, I’ve been all that and more; but, ain’t none of it who I really am because my identification-n-worth is not found in my accomplishments, achievements, titles, or the nameplates on my door.

I am who I am in God’s eyes.

And that ought to be enough for me;

however, and quite unfortunately, sometimes

I neglect

ignore

or mis-read

the Truth.

Remind me,

Lord,

when

I forget.

  1. I agree, that in reality, we belong to God. And we need to try and remember that perspective.

    In the perspective of being in the world…
    people (in places where things run smoothly) are mostly made to think that everyone should have one quick and easy answer to “So, what do you do?”, and i wonder if it’s this way because they can more easily categorize a person and themselves. But, its only the first few layers of the onion. There are more layers to people than that, of course.

    We all want to be able to be something in the eyes of others.
    But, it is truly best to consider that we are already something in the eyes of God.

If you have somethin' to say, I reckon this is where you should do it. (If you're a newbie hereabouts, your first comment will be held for approval - cuts down on spam.) Thank ye for chatting!
